Nathan Duin Having been on this trip since Wet Skin and Curious Eye it is a shame that this may be the last commercial release. If it is, it is an excellent way to bow out. Favorite track: Out There.

about

With the exception of "Laughter In Moscow" and "The Sun and the Moon" the music in this collection consists of samples taken from some of the albums available on this site. Some of the samples are unadulterated and some have been sliced and diced to fit their new home. The entire album took four weeks to compose and assemble and will probably be the final installment of my "commercial" collection.
Most of the soundbites come from "Carnival of Souls" (1962 - directed by Herk Harvey) and "The Atomic Cafe" (1982 - directed by Jayne Loader, Kevin Rafferty and Pierce Rafferty), two movies that hold a special place in my heart. Gene Moore's score for "Carnival of Souls" (elements of which are included here and there) was one of the reasons I got into music in the first place (along with seeing King Crimson at Hyde Park in 1969) and it's fitting that I end my "career" with that score in mind.
I'm getting on a bit now and (apart from continuing to work with Ferenc on the Irrenhaus project) I only have one major ambition left, and that is to compose (in the old fashioned sense) a major work in the avant garde/musique concrete genre. Wish me luck.
