Dr. Lab Rat 80s industrial innovation lives anew on this reissue. The live performance further abrades the rough edges of the signature Click Click sound, emphasising noise and submerging vocals to an almost subconscious level. A great selection of tracks that happily includes a sharp rendition of hard-to-find favourite Yakutska. Favorite track: Stay Out Of The Water.

about

A selection of songs recorded live onto cassette tape during open rehearsals at Lung Function in Luton, UK. Recording dates vary, the earliest 1984, the latest 1988.
Lung Function (named after the bands optimistic record label) was housed at the top of an industrial unit in Bute Street, Luton. The band rehearsed and recorded there from its inception until its demise in 1989. They had an open door policy and allowed just about anyone to attend free of charge.

Recent tapes from the sessions have come to light, highlights of which can be heard on the “Experiments” collection.
